Young man in hospital after being knocked off bike on Hampton Road
Paramedics have been called to Hampton Road in Southport after a cyclist was knocked off their bike in a collision earlier this evening (Friday 21 July 2017).
The male, believed to be in his late teens, was struck at the junction of Hampton Road and Scarisbrick New Road around 5pm.
Paramedics were called to the scene and gave first aid before the male was given the all clear. Passers by rushed to the scene and comforted the man before emergency services could attend. The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is helping police with their inquiries.
