James Bond fans are being left with no time to stay at a town centre cinema after movie running times landed drivers in a mess of parking fines.
The staggering 2 hour and 43 minute runtime of the latest blockbuster bond flick has left those watching at the Ocean Plaza Vue cinema with more than a salty taste of popcorn in their mouths.
The runtime means dozens of motorists who have chanced the three hour free parking grace at the venue leave the cinema to find they’re either dangerously close to facing a fine or have already overran their time, meaning they receive a £70 parking fine from the private operators.
Many film fans have taken to social media to vent their anger at both cinema managers and those that run the car park for not warning drivers in advance that their blockbuster experience could cost more than the price of a ticket and popcorn.
Ocean Plaza bosses offer a 3 hour free parking experience, rising to £4 for anything above that time but many motorists are furious that they are not given more advanced warning.
