If you are a regular follower of Woodlands Animal Sanctuary you may have heard that one of their supporters is planning the mammoth challenge of trekking to Mt. Everest Base Camp, and then continuing on to Lobuche East Peak summit, and is looking to raise money for Woodlands in the process.
Dan, who is a Personal Trainer and works in Southport, has just updated Woodlands with his latest preparations and these include climbing 3 peaks in the Lake District over one weekend, all of them over 700m high. Climbing to Cadair Idris summit in Wales, which is nearly 900m high and increasing his endurance training in his running.
Dan is also planning some more difficult challenges over the summer, which is likely to involve climbing 24 peaks in the Lake District, within a 24-hour trekking time, which will be over 48 hours. This will equate to two 12-hour trekking stints!
This challenge is taking serious dedication & commitment and Woodlands are full of admiration and incredibly grateful to Dan for choosing to support them through this expedition.
