Woodlands Animal Sanctuary – Cancelled Open Day

15th June 2019

Woodlands – Cancelled Open Day

If you are a follower of Woodlands Animal Sanctuary you may be aware that they cancelled their second open day of the year due to the great British Weather!  This decision was most disappointing for the charity because they have rearranged their events calendar to reduce the risk of cancellations due to adverse weather complications.

Cancelling an event like this is not a decision the board of trustees take lightly.  Along with offering apologies to everyone who had planned to come along to support them for any inconvenience caused, they also have to take into account the large number of essential volunteers who had set the day aside for them, the outside traders who were booked, the extra staff who had been rota’d in, the preparations that may have already started, which includes the volunteers who bake delicious goods for the day, the people and businesses who make donations and all of this is without taking into account the loss of the money that would have been raised during the day.

So Woodlands Animal Sanctuary would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by cancelling this event and would also like to ask for everyone’s continued understanding & support both for the rest of the forthcoming events and in the day to day running of the sanctuary.  Woodlands would not be able to continue its life-saving work if it did not have the support of its amazing followers, sponsors and benefactors.

The team and therefore looking forward to seeing you at their next open day on Sunday 28th July and if you would like to keep up to date with what the team are up to then follow them on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, or you can also visit the website:  www.woodlandsanimalsacntuary.org.uk for all the latest news.
