Woodlands Animal Sanctuary are very pleased and excited to announce their very first sponsored Sleep In! As everyone is adjusting to this new, temporary lifestyle, with changes being made both personally and in business, this local charity’s team put their thinking caps on and the passionate Animal Carers came up with the idea of a sponsored Sleep In. 4 Animal Carers, alone, in a cat pen each with their rescue cats. And whatever else may make an appearance, for a full 12 hours overnight!
Currently, the charity’s usual fundraising calendar has been either cancelled or postponed meaning and other methods of raising money have had to have been thought about, because unfortunately, as with most businesses & charities, costs do not stop – even in lockdown. These funds will allow this local, independent charity to continue its life saving and life changing work, for the unwanted, abandoned and injured pets and wildlife of the Lancashire & Merseyside area.
Four of Woodlands dedicated Animal Carers will be spending the night sleeping, as much as they can, each in their own cat pen. They will be posting regular Live updates throughout the night on the charity’s Facebook and Instagram pages, with regular story updates in between, documenting their experience.
This event will be held as soon as lockdown restrictions are lifted and you can donate towards this worthy cause by visiting their website: https://www.woodlandsanimalsanctuary.org.uk/component/sppagebuilder/154-sponsored-sleep-in/?Itemid=0 or Facebook page. Where you will also find the official launch video for this fundraiser. As with all of the events Woodlands run, 100% of the money donated goes directly into the charity, to enable the work they do to continue.
