Woman rushed to hospital after lorry runs her car into lamppost in Southport

Emergency services were called Wight Moss Way, Southport shortly after 10am this morning following a report of an RTC, Wednesday 11 May 2016.

A witness of the accident told our reporter: “The lady driving the Mini was turning left into the Post Office when the truck behind smashed into the back of her – pushing her into a head-on collision with the lamppost.

“Mud all over the road at the time – now the contractors are now going up and down cleaning it up”.

The truck driver said: “It’s just one of those things”

The lady doing the Mini has been taken to hospital, her condition is not known at the present time.
