Woman knocked down in Lord Street bus lane

A woman needed minor medical attention this morning after being knocked over by a car.

The woman, thought to be in her forties, was hit by a large people carrier style car and knocked over near to the Diana Gardens.

The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and a passing police car witnessed the accident.

Officers pulled over and administered first aid before calling for a first responder paramedic to check the woman over for any other injuries.

Witness statements have been taken and no arrests have been made.
