Woman cut free from car after smashing into garden wall in Southport

An elderly woman lost control of her car on Sussex Road, Southport at around 13:15 this afternoon (Tuesday 9 May 2017).

She was stuck in her car after colliding with a garden wall near to on the junction of Hall Street on Sussex Road.

The woman in her sixties thought to have suffered whiplash and some minor injuries.

Police are currently on scene giving first aid to the woman before paramedics arrived and Merseyside Fire and Rescue arrived to cut her free from the vehicle.
