Woman charged with attempted murder in Southport Hospital

A pensioner has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after an incident at Southport Hospital.

The incident police are investigating happened on New Years Eve in 2021.

This week Lesley Hill appeared at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday morning via video link from a psychiatric hospital.

Prosecutors say Hill is accused of the attempted murder of a woman called Dianne Kinsella on December 31, 2021.

Hill, aged 69, will next appear at Liverpool Crown Court on February 7.
