Woman charged after Bath Street burglary

On Tuesday 26th March Merseyside Police received two reports of Residential Burglary in Bath Street North, Southport.

Rebecca Gayther aged 29 years from Southport was arrested and later charged with two counts of Burglary with intent to steal and Assault.

Gather appeared in Court on 28th March and has been remanded in custody until 25/04/19 for trial at Liverpool Crown Court.

The Community Team from Southport Police Station have undertaken a letter drop in the area to advise & reassure residents.

Police will increase our patrols in the area and encourage all residents to be aware and report anything suspicious to the Police via 101.

Do not allow anyone in to your home you do not know, or who does not have a legitimate purpose for being there. Always ask for a form of I/D if you are unsure. Anyone who attends your property legitimately will not be offended by you asking.
