Taxi crashes into OAP in Southport town centre

Emergency services were called to Hill Street in Southport this afternoon to reports of an elderly woman had been struck by a taxi, Tuesday 9 January 2018.

A spokesperson from North West Ambulance Service confirmed that they attended the scene at 12:16pm and checked to woman in her 80’s over.

The woman did not require hospital treatment.

The taxi driver was questioned at the scene by officers before being allowed to go on his way.

Six police officers attended the scene.
