Wire Danger on the Sand Dunes

Worried residents are concerned that a trip wire on the dunes is putting people and pets at risk.

One concerned Southport dog walker stated: “This wire is so dangerous to fall over and a dog could easily run into it and hurt itself.”

Is this a deliberate trap or just evidence of Council apathy, with regard to neglect over dilapidated dune fencing?
