The popular DIY and homeware store Wilkos in Southport could be closed down.
It comes after the company’s owners said they were struggling to keep the business afloat.
The privately-owned company said it had filed a “notice of intention” to appoint administrators after failing to find enough investment.
Wilko, formally known as Wilkinsons, employs some 12,000 people across 400 UK stores and is well-known for its value furnishings and accessories.
The store in Southport’s Train Station has been a flagship of the arcade since the 1990s.
