WATCH | Bridge Cafe raider caught on CCTV
Merseyside Police are appealing for witnesses following a break in at Bridge Café on Hart Street, Southport in the early hours of Friday morning, 27th July.
Police received reports at around 4.20am that two people, believed to be riding a moped, had gained entry into the Café by forcing the lock on the rear of the building.
Here, the offenders have made an untidy search of the premises but are believed to have been disturbed by the alarm and fortunately left empty-handed.
Police attended the scene are continuing to analyse CCTV to help identify the offenders.
Inspector Susan Stribling said: “We’re asking the public for their help to identify anyone that may have been acting suspiciously around the time of this incident.
“It’s most likely the offender/s scoped out the property before they committed the offence, so if you remember seeing someone acting suspiciously in the area last week, then we’d urge you to get in touch.
“Luckily nothing was taken, but has left the café owner with a hefty repair bill and feeling very vulnerable.
“Call 101, report via @MerPolCC or contact @CrimestoppersUK anonymously if you have information that could help.”
