Merseyside - A Crime Alert for the residents of North Sefton from Merseyside Police

Suspicious Activities

A male in a black Four wheel drive vehicle was seen to drive very slowly down Hereford Road. He was leaning out of the vehicle and holding an object which was thought it could be a camera, pointing towards the houses as he drove along the road from the direction of Norwood Avenue towards Wennington Road.

A male riding a pedal cycle was also seen stopping outside two properties again in Hereford Road. After a time he rode away still looking back at the two properties.

At approximately midday on 22/01/18 a male walked up the driveway of a private property in Tithebarn Road. He spent some time looking through the windows of the house and walking up and down the drive. When challenged the male stated that he had been sent by the landlord to take photos of the property. This was later confirmed as untrue.

The male was white, 5’ 9”, of medium build and spoke with an English accent. He wore a lanyard with an ID attached. The same male had previously been sighted walking from Kew roundabout towards town centre.

This is a message for residents to be aware if any similar incidents occur in their area. No crimes have been reported, but residents are asked to be vigilant.
