Warning after spate of burglaries in Southport
Residents are being warned in Southport to be on their guard after a spate of burglaries continue in the town.
The latest crimes happened over the weekend, in the early hours of Saturday morning and sparked a warning for people to make sure they lock their doors and windows at night.
Burglars entered an address in Waterloo Road and stole a number of items and made their escape through a neighbours rear garden into Dumbar Road.
There were very similar burglaries in the Hillside area also.
The victim of the Waterloo Road crime said: I don’t want anyone else to experience this awful sense of violation. We’ve been here for a number of years without an incident but you never know.
With everything going on in the world it’s fairly insignificant but still unpleasant in my little world.
Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area should contact police on 101, or if you believe a crime is in progress always dial 999, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 55 111
