Residents across Sefton have a chance to vote for their much loved local park to become one of the nation’s favourites.
Nominations are now open for the annual Green Flag People’s Choice Awards which aims to find the UK’s very best parks and green spaces.
Residents throughout the borough are now being asked to vote for their local park, gardens or greenspace to be crowned one of the very best nationally.
You can find your nearest award-winning parks at www.greenflagaward.org. To vote for your favourite, simply find it on the map and click the vote button. Once you’ve voted, why not encourage others to get involved too.
Voting closes on September 30, with the top 10 winning sites being announced in October.
Cllr Ian Moncur, Sefton Council’s Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing, said:
“This is a great chance to show how much your favourite park means to you.
“Whether it’s King’s Gardens, Southport, Duke Street Park Formby, South Park Bootle, Hatton Hill Bootle, Coronation Park in Crosby, Maghull’s Lathom Gardens or any one of our many fantastic greenspaces, make your voice heard and vote now.”
