The Sea Watch Foundation want people in our area to take part in the National Whale and Dolphin Watch 2018, which takes place from July 28 to August 5.
Surveys can take place from your favourite or closest bit of coastline and boat-users are urged to take part too.
No experience is necessary.
This summer’s whale and dolphin watch follows thousands of hours of dedicated volunteering for last year’s survey for which the results have now been revealed.
A record-breaking 1,529 hours of dedicated watches took place along the UK coastline for the Sea Watch Foundation – around 300 hours more than any previous years, representing 2,500 volun- teers all around the British Isles getting involved.
There were a total of 1,410 sightings of whales, dolphins and porpoises from land and at sea
