Visiter risk wrath of cat lovers with shocking kitten sale ad
Cat lovers in Southport have tonight launched a scathing attack on the Southport Visiter after their Tuesday edition of the paper advertised a platform for selling kittens.
This practice is frowned upon and there are a number of high profile campaigns by animal welfare groups that try to stop the unmonitored and often immoral sale of puppies and kittens in the media.
Tonight a post on the Jaspers Alley Cats forum read: “This is in the Visiter this week.
“When you spend so much of your valuable time trying to educate people on cats reproducing and the local rag needs the educating more!!
“Its even printed twice!! page 4 and 39, unbelievable!”
Angry pet owners have also commented further on the post voicing their anger at the irresponsible newspaper.
A spokesperson for the Visiter said they would contact their advertising team about the issue.
