Shoppers, store owners and traffic will come to a complete standstill in Birkdale Village tomorrow (Tuesday) to honour a popular young man who sadly passed away.
People are being asked to line the streets of Birkdale Village from 2pm to pay tribute to local man Robbie Wilson.
Robbie starts his journey towards his final resting place at Burscough Crematorium passing through Birkdale Village between 2. -2.15 pm on Tuesday 21st March.
For those who wish to say their goodbyes and cannot attend the funeral – Shop owners and staff are going to line the streets of the village as he passes through and they ask if you are in the village tomorrow to do the same.
A Birkdale Village spokesperson said “Robbie was such a big part of our village. If you could please pass the message on to anyone you think would like to pay their respects.
”Rather than flowers etc if anyone is wishing to make a donation please feel free to select MIND, the family’s chosen charity.
“Gemma, Robbie’s sister is compiling a memory folder and as such has set up #robbieWilson29 for any photos or clips to be uploaded to.”
“Don’t be sad. Robbie wouldn’t want you to be. Just remember that laugh and beautiful smile and cherish the memories you have.”
