Reports are circulating that well known Southport criminal James Gelling has been viciously assaulted while in jail awaiting trial.

Gelling was arrested over the attack and eventual death of a Southport man on the 1 June 2019 outside the Scarisbrick Hotel.

However OTS News understands that while in custody Gelling, who is now charged with manslaughter, has been ‘beaten to a pulp’ while waiting trial later this year.

Ventsislav Marginov was walking home in Southport after watching Liverpool in the Champions League Final when he was allegedly assaulted by Gelling.
