Vet warns of dog biscuits filled with poison and nails at Formby Pinewoods

A local vet is warning that instances of dog biscuits laced with poison and nails left at Formby Pinewoods are on the rise.

The warning comes as one resident alleged their dog Winston was poisoned at the Pinewoods.

Posting on Facebook they said: “Please send healing to Winston. He’s been poisoned at the [Pinewoods] in Formby.

“The vet said there’s been a lot of dogs poisoned at the [Pinewoods].

“Some evil person(s) are leaving dog biscuits with poison on them. They’re also leaving dog treats with nails in them.

“Please be wary if you’re planning on taking your pet there.”
