Vandals throw fencing and bike into the Marine Lake, Southport.

Vandals have struck again in Southport after spending Thursday evening throwing fencing and bike into the Marine Lake.

The latest in a string of incidents, a ladies mountain bike were and fencing has been throw into the water sometime between 5pm and 10pm yesterday (Friday 4 August 2017).

A local dog walker reported hearing what they thought to be building work which is currently being carried out on the pier – later realising the sound of hammering was actually the destruction of fencing to the North side of the lake.

It is understood that police are now investigating the incident and are asking anybody with any information to call 101.
