Martin Mere Wetland Centre closed to the public
Martin Mere Wetland Centre remains closed for now. However, we’re working hard behind the scenes to re-open and we look forward to welcoming you back when we can.
As Martin Mere Wetland Centre is classified as a ticketed access areas, we are not permitted to open under the current Government guidelines. We’re seeking guidance from the Government on when that may change.
When that happens it’s likely that our reopening will be phased and gradual. In order to maintain social distancing when we first open, we plan to introduce a simple booking system for all visitors. Our core wild wetland experience will of course be there for you to enjoy with your household. But we are likely to have to restrict access to buildings, play areas and anywhere that people gather. And we are likely to put in place one way systems to enable you to keep a safe distance from other households.
Your well-being and that of our staff, volunteers and Martin Mere community is our priority.
We are very grateful for your patience and loyal support as we take the steps necessary to reopen.
We look forward to seeing you again soon and we will continue to provide updates on our progress.
