Detectives in Southport are appealing for information after a man was found injured in his flat in Southport on Sunday, 14 October.
Officers were called to an address on Bold Street at around 9pm when a 44-year-old man was found with multiple injuries. He was taken to hospital where he continues to be treated for injuries including a bleed on the brain. He remains in a serious but stable condition.
Detective Inspector Gary Stratton said: “At this time, we are working to ascertain how this man came to be injured. It’s possible that he was assaulted or suffered a fall and we are hoping someone may be able to assist us in piecing together what has happened.
“We know the victim was last seen on Thursday and I’d ask anyone who may have seen a fight or assault take place in this area or maybe someone was subject to a fall and you helped them up? I’m sure you’d remember if you’d witnessed this and I’d ask you to get in contact – any information no matter how small could assist our investigation.
“The victim is described as white, slim build, 5ft 5in tall with a shaven head and beard. He is known to wear a cap, t-shirt and jeans and a black bubble coat.”
CCTV is being sought, house to house enquiries are on-going and the scene has been forensically examined.
Anyone with any information is asked to DM @MerPolCC, call 101 or @CrimestoppersUK on 0800 555 111.
