POLICE are appealing for information after a pedestrian died following a collision involving a car in Southport this morning (Wednesday 30 January 2019). A report was received shortly before 10.55am that a car had been in collision with a man on Town Lane Kew, near the hospital. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and officers are in the process of locating next of kin. A closure remains in place on Town Lane Kew and motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.
