The Western & Southern Open, also known as Cincinnati Open, started over a century ago in the year 1899. Formula 1 United States Grand Prix Dates: 18 Oct – 20 Oct 2024 | Location: Austin, USA
The United States Grand Prix is a famous auto racing event that first took place back in 1908 as the American Grand Prize. As time passed, it became part of the Formula One World Championship circle! Starting around 2023 onward, this grand event has been hosted multiple times at ten distinct locations. Since 2012 (except for those events cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19), it has mainly taken place at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.
In fact, the United States had its first Formula One World Championship race way back in the season of ’50! But interestingly enough—this wasn’t even labeled as the United States Grand Prix—another popular event was used instead! Additionally, that year’s Indianapolis 500 also counted as one-third of Formula racing’s title round despite some unusual circumstances—no racers from Silverstone or Monaco’s earlier Grands Prix were present.

Due to sponsorship deals, we now refer to the annual marathon officially as TCS New York City Marathon—or simply New York City Marathon! This spectacular race usually takes place on the first Sunday of November each year since starting way back in ’70 (except for a pause due to Hurricane Sandy in ’12 & again during COVID-19 pandemic restrictions in ’20).
