The driver was travelling from Southport when he was stopped by officers
A vehicle has been seized after its uninsured driver was caught breaching lockdown rules.
The incident was revealed by North Wales Police (May 10) and occurred in the Wrexham area last night.
The driver and their passenger were travelling to the area from Southport and had been hoping to collect a second-hand games console in North Wales when they were stopped by police.
The Merseyside pair’s motivation for travel was an evident breach of coronavirus regulation and as a result they were both issued with fixed penalty notices, typically costing £60.
The driver also had no insurance so was reported for this – and had their vehicle seized.
