Favorite Teams to Win UEFA EURO 2024

This graph shows you the best UEFA euro odds for overall winners. It’s the teams you might expect. Still, how many times have you bet on one team winning, and they’ve done you dirty at the last minute?

As you can see from the graph, the top five favorites (predicted) are:

  • France is always one of the favorites – and does any defense really stand a chance against the speed and skill of Kylian Mbappe? YouTube his top goals this season so far and be amazed. And they have a history of two European Championships (1984, 2000) under their belt – Les Bleus wants a third. Not that previous championships really matter, but they do when Mbappe is about to make it a third. They probably already have UEFA Euro 2024 Champions etched into their stadium museum.
  • Portugal could be a winner. Roberto Martinez and his team produced a flawless qualification run. The 2016 (again, not that it matters) champions have a legacy of Cristiano Ronaldo (and he’s actually on the team) and the skill of new talent. And they probably need it. Ronaldo is 39. He’s due an ACL career finisher any moment.
  • England is another team that’s always pegged to win – yet they’ve never won one. And please, England fans, before you start screaming it’s coming home, make sure it actually is. Still, the odds are in England’s favor, and they were strong runners-up in Euro 2020. Can Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane finally bring it home?
  • Belgium has a, well, sad World Cup campaign. Is it time for redemption? Belgium thinks so. You’ve got Romelu Lukaku, Kevin De Bruyne (and his hair), and a rejuvenated squad under Domenico Tedesco. Surely they’re in for a win?
  • Spain has historically done well with European titles – (1964, 2008, 2012). This year’s squad has some of the best young talent – although it is missing Gavi. Still, you’ve got the talent of Luis de la Fuente, and Gavi was never going to win it alone. Will they win the UEFA Euro 2024?

Least Favorites

Sorry if you’re from Albania or Slovenia, but your teams aren’t pegged as being the best performers. Still, they defied expectations by qualifying, so maybe the analysts are wrong. Serbia and the Czech Republic could be dark horses, but they’re still at the bottom of the list of favorites to win the UEFA European Football Championship.

Players to Watch

Any players making it this far are players you want to watch – and you shouldn’t always watch the hype. Some players are getting more media attention than others (and rightly so), but some are playing under the radar. Here are the players we think you should be watching (media hoggers and not):

Kylian Mbappé (France)

It wouldn’t be right to do a section about players to watch and not talk about Kylian Mbappé. Everyone else is talking about him now he’s out of a PSG contract and spreading rumors of a trip to the Bernabéu at Madrid. At just 25, Kylian Mbappé can literally go wherever he wants. His breathtaking pace with lethal precision makes him a hot buy. The 42 goals in 72 appearances for Les Bleus also helps. Let’s see how many he gets in the UEFA EURO 2024 in Munich, Berlin, or Dortmund.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal)

Cristiano Ronaldo refuses to quit. Despite his age and injury just around the corner (don’t start rumors; we assume he will fail soon), he’s always pegged as one of the favorites. Still, he was out of the Al-Nassir vs China-friendly with a muscle injury – let’s see if he returns. Maybe our failure rumors will come true.

Antoine Griezmann (France)

Griezmann got the Golden Boot in Euro 2016, and he hasn’t stopped since. Antoine Griezmann’s journey is pure excellence. He has a knack for pivotal performances and has been crucial in France’s successes.

Luka Modric (Croatia)

Luka Modric. He’s on his way out of the Bernabéu but wants ‘one last dance’ with Croatia in the Euros. At least that’s what he’s calling it. Despite his age, reduced gameplay at Madrid, and impending retirement, he’ll still be an incredible player in the Uefa Euro Germany 2024. He hasn’t lost his skill. Younger people have simply arrived.

Harry Kane (England)

Harry Kane almost ruined his reputation in England when he skied the penalty – but we’ve all forgotten about that, haven’t we? No. OK. Moving on. He’s doing incredible in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich, scoring 25 goals in the league alone. Surely, this time, if Harry Kane steps up to take a penalty. Or, more hopefully, please, Gareth Southgate, just don’t pick him!

Olivier Giroud (France)

Olivier Giroud is France’s all-time leading scorer – he’s a footballing magician. And he’s still just as agile and talented as many years ago. We’d put him still, despite the young talent, as one of the top players to watch.

Conclusion

That’s all you need to know about the UEFA European Football Championship. It will be an incredible tournament, and it’s not long until the next round of qualifying games begin. Who do you think the overall winner will be?
