Restaurant owners in Southport say they are so overwhelmed with the success of the government’s Eat Out To Help Out scheme that they will continue to offer it after the service officially ends tonight.
Both Bistrot Pierre and The Hungry Monk have chosen to temporarily extend their own Eat Out to Help Out schemes with the popular town centre eateries offering the discount until the end of Wednesday, September 2nd.
Thousands of people have taken advantage of the offer since it was introduced last month, seeing waiting staff and chefs worked to incredible levels to cope with demand.
The much needed boost to the local restaurant economy has seen millions of pounds spent in the town on food and drink.
