Two men arrested on King Street Southport

Two men were arrested by police officers on King Street, Southport this afternoon, Tuesday 4 October 2016.

Witnesses told our reporter that father and son were both arrested following a routine traffic stop near to the Cheshire Lines pub.

It is not clear to why the duo were arrested at this moment in time.

Both were later taken to a police station in Liverpool for further questioning.
