Two car smash Portland Street, Southport

Emergency services were called to Portland Street, Southport at around this morning following a report of a two car collision, Saturday 19 May 2018.

Two cars collided at the junction of Cemetery Road and Portland Street at around 10am.

Paramedics treated an injured person at the scene before transferring him to Southport Hospital.

Witnesses at the scene told our reporter that the driver of the mercedes was arrested on suspicion of drink driving – this will be confirmed by Merseyside police shortly.
