Two arrested for drug offences – Coronation Walk, Southport

Merseyside Police arrested a man and woman following an incident in Southport last night (Sunday 23 July 2017).

At about 11pm officers were called to Coronation Walk to a report of a woman who was suspected to be in possession of drugs in a van.

Police attended and a 33-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man, both from Southport, were arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug. The man was also arrested on suspicion of drug driving.

They have been taken to a police station in Merseyside to be interviewed.

A quantity of white powder was seized from the van.
