Two men, aged 19, both from Southport were arrested on Wednesday afternoon (22nd Jan) on suspicion of assault, affray & possession of a controlled drug.
The arrests follows an assault on Mornington Road earlier that day.
After a short pursuit on foot, officers detained the two men who were taken to custody for questioning.
