Horrified twitchers and sunset watchers have been told they’ll have to pay for the privilege after years of getting it for free.
Cash hungry RSPB bosses are now going to charge cars to park on the marshside nature reserve after years of getting on the site for free.
To add to visitors’ misery, the car park will close at 5pm every day.
The charges to be implemented will be on a ‘pay on arrival’ basis during the car park’s opening hours from 8.30am to 5pm and will cost £1.50 for up to two hours/£3 for longer.
Twitchers have said they will simply park on the cycle path next to coast road instead to get around the charges.
