Romanian travellers set up camp near to Kew Park & Ride Southport.
A group of travellers have set up at a piece of land near to Kew Park & Ride Southport.
Residents reported that they had earlier tried to get into the park and ride, but were unable to due to the new fencing that had been installed to stop them.
High Park resident Gary Burgess said: “This time there is one caravan and one van with Romanian number plates.
“They arrived over a week ago. All the relevant authorities are aware of them, vut they still have yet to be moved on”.
Although faster and more effective enforcement powers have come into force regarding unauthorised Gypsy / traveller’s sites, it still hasn’t stopped a number of travellers setting up camp on Kew Park & Ride Southport.
