Traffic warning as Emergency services attend serious RTA
Emergency services have cordoned off part of Scarisbrick New Road, Southport after a pedestrian was struck by a delivery truck at around 4pm (Saturday 9 September).
Traffic has been brought to a standstill on the main road after a TK Max wagon struck a person shortly after 4pm this afternoon near to the junction of Curzon Road.
Merseyside Police are asking drivers to avoid the area if possible while an emergency operation is ongoing.
The condition of the person involved is not yet known but the driver of the wagon is currently being treated for shock.
