TRAFFIC | M62 and M57 closed in both directions

The M62 and M57 have been closed in both directions after a woman falls from bridge.

Police confirmed that the motorway is closed at Junction 6 of the M62 and traffic is backing up and heavy congestion is expected.

A tweet from the Merseyside Police Contact Centre said: “Due to an ongoing incident, The M62 and M57 at Tarbock Island are now closed in both directions.

“Traffic is backing up and heavy congestion is expected.”
