Fire crews have closed off a road in Southport Town Centre after storm damage caused a roof to partially collapse.
Emergency services have stopped people from entering Post Office Avenue and businesses there have been closed after high winds dislodged a section of a building roof.
The building, understood to be part of an apartment block on the site of the former Post Office Depot, is dangerous hanging over the pavement.
It’s understood high winds as a result of Storm Eowyn caused the damage.
Specialist crews have been called but the road remains closed and will be likely sealed off for a number of days.
