Yet another popular eatery in Southport has had to temporarily shut its doors after a diner tested positive for the killer coronavirus.
Customers who were in Villagio Cucina on the night of September 19 could have come into contact with the contagious diner, who has since been confirmed as having Covid-19.
Staff and management at Villagio have lept into swift action and shut the restaurant while contact tracing is now taking place.
All staff are now set to go into self isolation following strict government guidelines and customers who had reserved tables in the coming days have been informed.
An update on when the popular restaurant will reopen will be announced in due course.
