Thursday’s Arriva bus strike is OFF after the company agreed to last-ditch talks with unions.
Drivers were out on strike yesterday and were also due to go out on strike on Thursday in their dispute over pay.
But union Unite said Arriva had agreed to engage in “meaningful talks” – and so Thursday’s strike has been called off as a “goodwill gesture”.
A post on the Arriva NW Industrial Action 2017 official Facbook page said: “At a meeting tonight at Transport House a decision was made as a goodwill gesture to the travelling public to cancel the action on Thursday 7th December.
