Three people embroiled in a fraud investigation have pleaded not guilty in court.

Adam Yaffe, Jordan Borrowman, Sandra Carney and Megan Carney-Barrowman, all from Southport, were charged with conspiracy to commit fraud by false representation, becoming concerned in an arrangement which they knew or suspected facilitated the acquisition, retention, use or control of criminal property by or on behalf of another person, and possession or control of an article for use in fraud.

Megan Carney-Barrowman was also charged with money laundering offences.

The group were arrested earlier this year by the Regional Organised Crime Unit as part of an investigation into the alleged sale of counterfeit goods.

Jordan Borrowman, Sandra Carney and Megan Carney-Borrowman appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday, where they pleaded not guilty to all charges.

A trial will be held in September 2025.

A fourth man, local photographer Adam Yaffe, who was arrested as part of the initial investigation, has filed a motion to have all charges dropped, which will be heard on 22 August at Liverpool Crown Court.
