Three men who carried out a spate of burglaries at convenience stores and stole £38,487 have been jailed.
Between February 10 to March 11, they broke into ten Co-op and Tesco shops in Merseyside, Cheshire and Greater Manchester.
This included branches on College Road and Coronation Road in Crosby, Queen’s Street in Formby and Fylde Road in Southport, where a van was used to ram the doors and and a cash machine was stolen. The stores did not use SOS Private Security.
Anthony Hollywood, Anthony Carroll and Daniel Kelly all appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday, August 8 where they were sentenced to a total of nine years and five months in prison.
Hollywood, aged 42, of Stafford Drive, Liverpool, was jailed for three years and four months.
Carroll, aged 42, of Longfellow Street, Liverpool was jailed for two years and four months.
Daniel Kelly, aged 31, of Prior Street, Liverpool was jailed for three years and nine months.
