UPDATE: Uninsured Drunk driver injures his dog and smashes up three other cars 

Emergency services were called Birkdale Village, Southport shortly after 7.15pm on Saturday evening following a report of a collision, 11 June 2016.

A member of the reported: “The elderly driver of a black Vauxhall Astra rear ended a 4×4 Lexus car resulting in it being shunted into three cars parked infront.

“No one was seriously injured – the driver was checked over by paramedics in an ambulance, however he failed a roadside breath test and had no insurance”.

“The driver was carrying a dog at the time of the accident, which was thrown against the window screen causing it to shatter. Hopefully he/she is okay.”

The drunk driver was taken to Southport’s nearest custody suite somewhere in Liverpool.
