Thousands raised at Southport’s Fylde Fish Bar Charity event
Fylde Fish Bar held a charity night at Fylde Fish Bar organised by Carl and caroline Moore supported by Jodie and Banico Zeniou owners of Fylde Fish Bar, Monday 23 May 2016
Speaking to OTSNews.co.uk, Banico Zeniou said: “Carl works for the Royal Mail whose charity the past two years has been the stroke association.
“Sixty people attended the wonderful event, on arrival Prosecco and Sushi (donated by Morrisons southport) followed by fish and chip supper (fish donated by our supplier sykes) and then dessert and coffee.
“The Talent factory provided fantastic entertainment on the evening – organiser Sharon King and 6 singers aged between 11 to 20 all donated their time to charity!!!
“They were amazing”
“Raffle on the night, prizes donated by various local businesses, see attached photo naming a few from ainsdale – Toby Carvery, Hallmark, Lou Lou Moon, Bar Mio and Dolce Vita and from Birkdale- Bistrot Verite, Croziers, Verve, Villagio Cucina, wine rack Birkdale and Sally Bee gifts and lemon tree bakery!”
“We also had an Everton signed ball and signed shirt which we raffled separately and raised £170!”
“We had a guest speaker from The Stroke association, Daniel Phillips who spoke about the importance of raising money to help those affected by strokes including the families , in which his powerful words meant so much to the many of the guests who attended the night. He explained that the Royal Mail are supporting the charity and would match anything raised …. so £1700 turned into an amazing amount of £3400!
“The staff on the night also worked for charity too, giving up their time for such a fantastic cause and also the owners of Fylde Fish Bar gave all proceeds on the night to the charity. We look forward to the next big charity event, the last one we did was 2 years ago raising money for the newborn appeal and raising £2000”
“Well done and a big thank you to everyone who made this event a huge success'”
