People living and working in Southport town centre have been left without phone signal today.
A phone mast which supplies signal to O2 and Sky Mobile users has stopped working completely meaning anyone on those networks has no signal today.
Other networks may also be affected.
Its also causing issues with businesses using 4G networks to run their contactless payment services.
OTS was contacted by a woman in Marshside who said she has been trying to contact her elderly mother, who lives on the Promenade, for an hour with no luck.
She eventually drove to her mothers home to discover the phone was not working.
She said “It’s a disgrace.
“I’ve spoken to O2 and they say a phone mast is broken and it could take two days to fix!”
