A suspected burglar is operating in Hillside.
One resident reported how they were burgled in broad daylight earlier this afternoon saying that other witnesses had noticed the thief clearly casing empty houses in the area.
Just before the reported theft another family on nearby Dover Road had their camera doorbell tripped before a man broke into their house and burgled the property.
Both incidents are being treated by police as being linked.
Anyone with information should call 101 immediately and residents are being told to secure their properties.
