Theft of pedal cycles in the Southport town centre and Ocean Plaza

by
30th July 2015

Throughout June, neighbourhood officers conducted a campaign to raise awareness of cycle theft by putting tags onto bikes left in the town centre. Officers held two ‘bike registration’ events at Ocean Plaza, where 50 bikes were added to the www.immobilise.com property database and had security tags added. Neighbourhood Officers will be available to register bikes on this database again during August on:

Friday 14th August at Hesketh Park café, PR9 9NW from 2.00pm – 4.00pm

We appeal to cycle owners to buy the best cycle lock they can afford and to ALWAYS use it to reduce the number of bikes being stolen.
