The penny is in the meter and the plug is nearly on! It’s just going to be a little while longer before the new lampposts are installed on Lord Street, Southport.

Contractors were busy today(Friday 6 January 2017) trying to fit a new lamppost on the busy boulevard with some difficulty!

Trying to fit the top half of the light fixture proved to be more difficult than first thought due to a combination of rain and high winds.

They got there in the end though! This is the first of a planned phase of light fixture replacement along Lord Street.
