Southport begin the new Vanarama National League North season at home against Boston United on Saturday at the Merseyrail Community Stadium, kick-off 3pm.
After a month of pre-season fixtures, it is the first competitive outing for our newly-assembled squad, facing a Boston side who are about to start their seventh season at this level and will provide a strong early test.
Manager Alan Lewer said after Saturday’s closing friendly against Accrington Stanley that he will be assessing the fitness of goalkeeper Mark Halstead (Achilles), Jack Sampson (hamstring) and Adam Dugdale (foot).
Season tickets are on sale at discounted prices until Saturday at £135 – £150 for adults and £100 – £110 for concessions, offering the equivalent of 11 matches for free.
Admission for youngsters aged 12 – 18 is £5 per game or just £50 for a season ticket. Children aged 11 and under are admitted free when with an adult.
